Introduction of Gas Genset
16V165RQ gas engine is designed and developed
based on the Germany MTU 16V396 permit diesel
engine, has good power performance,
economical efficiency, safety and reliable
running, convenient operation and maintenance
and long life characteristics.
Mainly used for natural gas, CBM, landfill
methane, etc
This design keeps Germany MTU engine main
structure unchanged, designs and develops the
gas distribution system, air intake system
and combustion system, gas control system,
ignition control system and control of motor
speed control system and other special system
and its components according to the
characteristics of the fuel gas combustion
Characteristics of design
2.1 Bypass circulatory system
Ensure the heat balance of internal
combustion engine doesn’t change because of
the diesel fuel oil change into gas, in favor
of all the moving parts of the gas machine to
keep the original design of the best working
state
2.2 Closed (double circulation) cooling water
system
With both high and low temperature two way
water-cooled circulation system technology,
165RQ MTU can ensure the temperature of turbo
air be lower and stable, this makes we choose
the cooling type of Gas Genset more flexible.
2.3 Germany MTU company efficient technology

The integrated design of Plate heat exchanger
and Machine with cooling water pump reduces
the unit volume and increases the operation
reliability.
2.4 Germany MTU proprietary double water-
cooled walls supercharger, the exhaust pipe
wall technology system of three layers
The whole thermal radiation of machine is
only 45kw, reduces the heat radiation
outward, increases the volume efficiency to
ensure efficient pressurization.
It reduces
the amount of radiant heat unit and room
temperature, without bare high temperature
parts, increases the safety of the unit
operation.
