In 1988, IEM revolutionized the way railroads measure wheels by
introducing the only electronic gauge approved for use by the American
Association of Railroads.
Now, the next generation makes a similar
quantum leap forward with the introduction of the Mini-EWG.
The newer Mini-EWG integrates the controller, keypad, sensor, and LCD screen into a single unit, weighing less while offering greater maneuverability, versatility, and improved operability.
A user-friendly menu displays simple easy-to-follow instructions.
IEM’s rugged design allows for the tough environment and climatic conditions in which the Mini-EWG needs to endure, as well as insuring that no measurements are taken until it is properly placed on the wheel.
The Mini-EWG provides consistently accurate readings of up to 0.015625 an inch (plus or minus).
Wireless transmission of the stored data improves overall efficiency, eliminates errors, and reduces unnecessary costs.
