Packing tape, carton sealing adhesive tape or parcel tape is made of bi-axial oriented polypropylene (OPP) film and water-based acrylic glue.
OPP packing tape has good heat, UV and shear resistance and suitable for heady-duty and long-term packaging.
This Tape can be applied with a hand-held tape dispenser, it allows the user be more efficiently place the tape on the box, cut it off, and rub it down.
Automated machinery for application of tape to high-speed lines is also common, the machine tape come in with 48 mm or 72 mm width as hand-held tape but added length up to 990 meters.
There are three major types of OPP packing tapes – transparent/brown, colored and printed tape.
Crystal clear tape and low noise tape are also available.
