Titanium clevis pins are fabricated from Grade 5 Titanium (Ti-6Al-V4)
titanium.
Grade 5 titanium has a yield tensile strength of 128, 000 psi
(880 Mpa) and an ulitmate tensile strength of 138, 000 psi (990 Mpa).
They are beautifully machined before being media polished.
Titanium is
40% strong and 40% lighter than stainless and unlike stainless, it is
not vulnerable to corrosion from salt water.
Stronger and lighter, they
are great for serious racers.
