1.2436 steel plate contains **up to 12% chromium and additional tungsten elements**.

after quenching, it can form a large amount of uniformly distributed **hard carbides** (mainly m7c3 type carbides), which makes it extremely wear-resistant in high-stress, high-friction environments.

this makes it particularly suitable for **high-wear-resistant cold-working dies**.
