High Wear Resistance Jis Skt4 Steel Quenching Process - China

JIS SKT4 steel has good toughness, strength and high wear resistance.

Its mechanical properties at room temperature and 500-600℃ are almost the same.

When heated to 500℃, it can still maintain a hardness of about HB300 - It is mainly used for large and medium-sized hammer forging dies and trimming dies.

Recommended quenching specifications for JIS SKT4 steel 1 - The upper limit value is used for the quenching heating temperature of large dies, and the lower limit value is used for small dies (side length is less than 200-300mm); 2 - In order to avoid large stress and strain in the hammer forging die during quenching, after heating from 830-860℃, it is first pre-cooled to 750-780℃ in the air, and then oil-cooled to about 150-180℃, taken out and tempered immediately; 3 - For large dies, they should be preheated in a heating furnace at 600-650℃, and the furnace temperature should be raised after heating through; in order to heat better, the die should be placed on a pad 60-100mm high for heating.
