1 - Density

NS 312 plate has a density of typically around 7.9 g/cm³, similar to other austenitic stainless steels.

This density gives it good structural stability and strength.

2 - Melting Point

NS 312 plate has a melting point of approximately **1400°C - 1450°C**, which allows it to maintain good physical properties in high temperature environments.

3 - Coefficient of Thermal Expansion

NS 312 steel has a linear coefficient of thermal expansion of around **16.0 x 10⁻⁶ /°C** (20°C to 1000°C range).

The higher coefficient of thermal expansion means that the material will expand somewhat at high temperatures, which needs to be considered during the design process.

4 - Thermal Conductivity

NS 312 plate has a low thermal conductivity of approximately **15 W/m·K**.

This is similar to most stainless steels and is suitable for high temperature applications, but the thermal conductivity is not as good as carbon steel and other metal materials.
