Chemical composition: AISI H11 steel and AISI H13 steel are both hot working die steels, but the chemical composition is slightly different.

The carbon content of H11 steel is generally between 0.33%-0.43%, the chromium content is 4.75%-5.50%, the molybdenum content is 1.10%-1.75%, and the vanadium content is 0.30%-0.60%.

The carbon content of H13 steel is usually between 0.32%-0.45%, the chromium content is 4.75%-5.50%, the molybdenum content is 1.10%-1.75%, and the vanadium content is 0.80%-1.20%.

It can be seen that the main difference between the two is the vanadium content.

The vanadium content of H13 steel is higher, which makes H13 steel different from H11 steel in some properties.

Mechanical properties: Due to the difference in chemical composition, the hardness and hot hardness of H13 steel are slightly higher than those of H11 steel, and it can maintain better strength and wear resistance at high temperatures.

H11 steel has better toughness and thermal fatigue resistance, and performs better when subjected to impact loads.
