HSS SKH9 is the most common W-MO series (6-5-2 type) high-speed tool steel, especially SKH-9 (SKH51) is widely used in the world, replacing W-type high-speed tool steel SKH2 - HSS SKH9 has fine, neat, well-distributed carbides and uniform structure.

Therefore, wear resistance and toughness are relatively balanced.

In particular, because it is only an increase or decrease in carbon content, it does not damage the high-temperature characteristics and can continuously and significantly change the properties of steel.

Low-carbon steel is suitable when toughness is required, and high-carbon steel is suitable when hardness and wear resistance are required.

HSS SKH9 is rich in hot and cold plasticity, and has good machinability and grindability.

HSS SKH9 process and characteristics: Forging: 1.100~900℃

Annealing: Heat to 800-850℃, stay at this temperature for two to four hours, and let it cool gradually in the furnace.

Tempering: Heat to 550-570℃, stay at this temperature, and then cool in still air.

Tempering must be repeated twice.

Hardness: HRC63℃ or above.
