A283 Grade A Steel Yield Strength - China

Considering the different carbon contains, there are a little difference in yield strength between A283 Grade A and A283 Grade B.

For structural steel A283 Grade A, the minimum yield strength is 165 Mpa, tensile between 310 and 415 - And for carbon steel sheet A283 Grade B, the yield strength shall be above 185 Mpa, tensile strength within 345 to 450 Mpa.

ASTM A283/A283M standard specification covers four grades of carbon steel plates of structural quality for general application.

Steel samples shall be melt processed by either open-hearth, basic-oxygen, or electric furnace.
