Quenching

Temperature: 1030-1070°C (oil quenching or air cooling, depending on the size of the workpiece).

Cooling method: Oil quenching is recommended for thicker workpieces, and air cooling can be used for smaller workpieces.

Tempering

Temperature: 500-650°C (double tempering, each time for 1 hour/25mm thickness).

Goal: Reduce brittleness, improve toughness, while maintaining sufficient hardness (such as 40-45 HRC).
