1 - How do heat powered stove fan work ?
The Ecofan is a heat powered fan that circulates the warm air from a wood burning stove, without using batteries or mains power.
The Ecofan' s power comes from a thermoelectric module, a small generator with two semiconductors.
When there is a difference in temperature between the two semiconductors, this causes a current to flow which is used to power the motor of the Ecofan.
This is known as the Seebeck effect.
The heat from the stove drives the fan, so you don’t need any batteries.
The Ecofan helps to push warm air from the stove further than it would normally go.
