Better Welding Performance High Strength Good Elastic Modulus Titanium Zirconium Molybdenum Alloy - China

Commonly referred to as TZM, it is a molybdenum-based alloy containing titanium and zirconium as alloying elements.

Currently used are TZM (Mo-0.5% Ti-0.008% Zr) and TZC (Mo-1.25% Ti-0.15% Zr-0.15% carbon).

When the temperature exceeds 1300 ° C, TZM strength is twice as pure molybdenum.

TZM recrystallization temperature higher than molybdenum about 250'C, and have better welding performance.

TZM grain structure and molybdenum grain boundary TiC, ZrC formation inhibit grain growth and prevent the related matrix metal due to fracture in the grain boundary caused by the failure, which is its better welding performance reasons.

TZM alloy is widely used in many fields due to its high melting point, high strength, good elastic modulus, small linear expansion coefficient, low vapor pressure, good electrical and thermal conductivity, good corrosion resistance and good mechanical properties at high temperature.
