For many copper ore of sulfide, combination of gravity separation and

floatation separation can be adopted to get the best profit.

Gravity

separation is the rough beneficiation process to get the high grade

copper concentrate of 15- 20% TCu from the low grade copper ore of 0.5-

4% Cu.

For a certain treatment capacity, this will save a lot about

plant investment comparing with the only investment of floatation

separation.

Here is a sharing about a copper beneficiation project in the Philippines.

In Philippines, we have one client of copper sulfide.

There is much sticky mud in the ore, so the rotary washer and the spiral washer has been used to remove the mud first.

Then the washed copper ore has been fed into a coarse jaw crusher and a fine jaw crusher to make sure about the liberation of copper granules from the impurities.

Now the liberated copper ore has been fed into the jigging gravity separator for rough upgrading.

Here the trapezoidal 2LTC6109/ 8 jig separator has 8 jig washing boxes, four different jigging systems and a jigging distance of 4.6m.

That is why this machine has a great beneficiation efficiency and high recovery rate.

The output from the jig machine is about 12% Cu, and this rough copper concentrate will be put into a ball mill to prepare for the following floatation separation.

And after the floatation separation, final copper concentrate of 45% TCu can be gained.

The whole processing line is 80t/ h, and only jigging separator has been added to the whole floatation separation processing line saving about 2/ 3 floatation separation plant investment when only floatation separation is used.
