1 - Introduction

1.1 Application

Button pull test equipment is used to determine the holding or breaking strength of prong-ring attached snap fasteners onto garments, prevent the buttons divorce from the clothing，which case the dangerous if baby swallowing the buttons.

So that every button and fixed parts on the clothing are required the detection of the button pull test.

Button pull test is a important testing procedure，especial ly in Infant and children's clothing design and manufacturing.

On the button fasteners apply a suitable power through the intensity of the instrument to record.

When the tension table shows the appropriate intensity, the operator should immediately press the timer in order to calculate the time。

1.2 Scope

The purpose of this machine to test the buttons and fasteners properly secured in the garment to defend the responsibility of the garment manufacturer.

To ensure that the buttons and fasteners are properly secured in the garment，prevent the buttons divorce from the clothing，resulting in risk of infants have the opportunity to swallow.

Therefore，buttons on all garments and fasteners is required by the detection of Button Pull Testing.

1.3 Significance and Effect

1, This test method used to measure the intensity of the vertical pull test buttons and clothing and the button does not pull to out of clothing。

2, This test require button sewing specifications should be in accordance with the standards set by the button manufacturer.

3, This test used to set up different dressed in the environment related，and to compare the different button types and brands.

4, The standard is not listed all the possible security problems in the use of, this may contain hazardous materials, operations and equipment.

Therefore, users of the standard has the responsibility to establish the safety and health rules, and before use to determine the appropriate rules.

5, All buttons are need to use chain stitch tightening in the fabric.

6, Based on clause 4.21 EN 71: Part 1: 1988 requirement，When the largest button size is greater than 6mm or less than / equal to at 6mm，buttons must be able to withstand 90N(Newton)及50N pulling power.

7, Buttons must be adopted clause 4.18 EN 71: part 1: 1988 testing standards set by the sharp edge.

8, When the test is carried out in accordance with the standards listed in the steps (clause 4.21 EN 71: Part 1: 1988)，they should not be cracked and spread。

9, When the size reaches 116 cm (6 years old ) must be through a small object test.
