Introduction:

To resolve the wear problem of armoured face conveyor, we have made a lot of theoretical researches and underground tests, and succeeded in developing “Numerical Controlled plasma Cladding wear-resisting technology” and “ZRF-5C Numerical Controlled plasma Central Trough cladding Machine Tool”.

The technology can make the base materials and alloy powder melt synchronously instantly，re-melt, produce the wear-resisting strengthened layer in original position.

In doing so, the strengthened layer and base material will be metallurgically combined in depth, which greatly enhances the wear and shock resistance of metal surface, 10 times that of laser cladding in efficiency.

The machine tool is especially applicable for strengthening and repairing the central through and head & tail of all kinds of scraper conveyors.

It is verified by many years’ uses in underground coal mines that the strengthened central through by cladding is prolonged 2-3 times in service life averagely.

The technology was awarded the First Prize of Science and technology achievements by Department of Industry and Information Technology of Henan Province on May 16, 2010, and the Second Prize of Science and Technology Progress by Henan province government in Dec of 2010.
