Maintaining the battery packs and explosion-proof power devices of explosion-proof mining locomotives is crucial for their safe and efficient operation.

1 - Battery Pack Maintenance:

Connection Polarity: ** Ensure that the battery terminals are not connected in reverse.

Check that the distance between the terminal connections and the outer shell of the battery box, as well as the distance between the terminals themselves, meets the specified requirements.

Insulation Resistance: The insulation resistance of the outer shell should not be less than 0.5 MΩ.

The leakage current of the outer shell should comply with the standards outlined in Table 4.6.

Electrolyte Spillage: If electrolyte spills, rinse the interior of the box with clean water and drain it using the acid drain valve.

Daily Inspections: Each shift, inspect the terminals, nuts, and connecting wires to ensure there is no loosening or damage.

If a battery shows signs of seal failure, casing cracks, or acid leakage, it should be replaced immediately.

2 - Explosion-Proof Power Device Maintenance:

Hydrogen Monitoring: Monitor the hydrogen concentration every shift.

If it exceeds 1%, cease operations immediately.

Check if the catalyst has been dampened or damaged.

Charging Room Conditions: Ensure that the methane concentration in the charging room is less than 0.5%, and the hydrogen concentration is below 0.5%.

Electrical Plug Connection: Before taking the locomotive out of the garage, connect the electric plug securely to avoid overheating.

Pre-Charging Checks: Before charging, check the internal hydrogen content of the battery pack.

If it is below 3%, you may open the cover; otherwise, take appropriate measures first.

If vigorous bubbling occurs during charging, cut off the power and wait 1–2 hours before closing the cover.

Anti-Acid Cap: Do not charge with the anti-acid cap on.

After charging, if the battery is not in use, do not cover it with the explosion-proof round cover.

When covering, ensure the electric heater plug is connected first.

Locking Mechanism: Before taking the locomotive out, ensure that the locking mechanism is securely locked.
