High Alumina Castable - China

High alumina castable is a refractory castable made of high alumina raw material with binder and aggregate in traditional ratio.

On the basis of the preparation of high strength and high aluminum castable, the granule gradation is adjusted, different admixtures are added, cement dosage is reduced, performance is improved, medium temperature strength and softening temperature under load are increased, thermal conductivity is reduced, and thermal stability is good.

The furnace body structure integrity is strong, the air tightness is better than the brick furnace, extends the furnace life, saves the furnace repair cost, the economic benefit is remarkable as the high aluminum refractory castable characteristic.

So high aluminum castable compared with other refractory castable, where is its advantage?

Advantage one: construction water consumption is low, usually 6-7% of the refractory castable component, so it has high density and low porosity;

Advantage 2: It has good volume stability at high temperature.

Although it is a non-burning refractory, its volume decreases after drying and calcination.

Advantage three: not only has higher curing strength at room temperature, but also does not reduce the strength after medium temperature treatment, the strength of the traditional refractory castable 3-5 times;

Advantage 4: low cement content, calcium content in castable is only 1/4 to 1/3 of the traditional refractory castable.

Thus, the amount of low melt phase in low cement castable is reduced and the high temperature function can be significantly improved.
