Alkali-soluble Polyester Chips for sea-island yarn spinning
Alkaline Soluble Polyester Chips are a type of modified polyester, produced by incorporating hydrophilic groups into conventional polyesters.
These products can hydrolyze in heated alkaline (or water) solutions.
They primarily serve as the marine component in the production of sea-island yarns, where the sea portion is dissolved through alkali reduction, leaving behind the island structure.
The segregation of sea-island components relies on the degree of polymer dissolution in alkaline solutions.
When conjugated with high-shrinkage yarns, a superior suede effect is achieved, producing nanofibers with extensive surface area, high absorption, and efficient distribution and filtration capabilities.
Features: The product characteristically hydrolyzes in hot alkaline (or water) solutions.
Exhibits excellent spinnability and is quick to dry.
Applications: Solo Spinning for Fiber: Primarily aimed at developing specialty textiles.
Compound Spinning: Focused on producing ultra-fine sea-island POY and FDY, along with sea-island staple fibers.
Applications of sea-island fibers mainly include fashion fabrics, and synthetic leather.
