Clay desiccant is made of Attapulgite.

Attapulgite also called Palygorskite, mineralogical classification belongs to family of sepiolite, is a kind of layer-chain structure of hydrous rich magnesium aluminum silicate clay mineral.

Attapulgite has great specific surface area and a certain amount of ion exchange, most of positive ions, water moleculars, a certain size of organic moleculars can be adsorbed.

Attapulgite has stable electrochemical performance, hard to be electrolytic flocculation, good stability at high temperatures and salt water.

Widely used for desiccant, anti-blushing agent, adsorbent, catalyst support, bacteriostatsupport.

Yuanying Attapulgite clay desiccant working temperature should be under 50℃, if temperature over 50℃, water release is bigger than water uptake.

But clay desiccant is very cheap, so it becomes one of main mineral desiccant in the world.

Clay Desiccant has no deformation and no fever after moisture absorption, very few water-soluble substances, no corrosion to metal.
