Efficient stabilizer for polyolefins, particularly PP and HDPE.
It is quite often used as a synergist in combination with phenolic antioxidants.
It decomposes and neutralizes hydroperoxides, formed by auto-oxidation of polymers.
It has been approved for use in some food packaging applications.
