It can be decomposed in strong alkali and acid solution easily, and then turned into alumina after being heated, decomposed and dehydrated.

Applications:

It is widely used in flame retardant additive of flammable materials like all kinds of aluminum raw material, plastics and rubber.

It can also be used in paper making, surface color, coating, toothpaste base material, catalyst carrier, purifying agent, fluoride salt, drying agent, different molecular sieve, pharmaceuticals industry, artificial agate, mosaic glass, quick setting agent of building material, etc.
