PRINCIPLE

This non-invasive ‘cold’ technology cools the adipose tissue to induce lipolysis reducing body fat without damaging other tissues.

Histological studies in both pigs and people have documented that a session lasting 60 minutes or less results in a low-grade inflammatory process that continues for 3 months, during which fat cells are engulfed and digested by inflammatory cells and a dermal fibrotic response occurs.

How is cryolipolysis done?

The process involves a chilling device that is placed on the skin to rapidly cool it.

It is a type of skin treatment that is non-surgical, it was developed by researchers at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard.
