Dayri Dates Dayri dates are cultivated in Khuzestan province in cities such as Ahwaz, Khorramshahr, Abadan, Shooshtar, Shadegan, and Behbahan, also outside of Khuzestan, in cities such as Bushehr, Kazeroon and Borazjan.
Dayri fruit is a dry variety, rather jumbo and moisture resistant.
Late-ripening is one of its main features.
Its kharak is red and it will be completely dry in the palm.
The fruit weighs up to 18 grams.
It has an oval shape with a rigid texture, bright brown and medium skin thickness.
The pit is elliptical and creamy in color and has a low adhesion to the fruit.
But warhead adhesion to the fruit is medium.
Kharaks taste astringent in ripening stage and range from green to red, and from red to dark brown in color.
Dayries harvest time is in November and December.
